Nanna Meyland Nicolaisen is M.Sc. (Physics) and PhD in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) from University of Copenhagen, as well as European Patent Attorney.

Practical experience
Nanna has worked with IP for more than 13 years. First in private practice for several years working with various clients, big and small, within different technical fields mainly, but not only, related to physics, mechanical devices, computer implemented inventions and materials.

In recent years Nanna has worked in industry with activities such as catalysis, metallurgy, materials, process technology, environmental issues and 3D printing. First as corporate patent counsel in Haldor Topsøe A/S and lately as Head of IP in Höganäs AB Nanna has through the years gained a high level of expertise in general IP matters such as patent drafting, searches, Freedom to Operate analysis and prosecution of applications in a number of jurisdictions.

In addition to this Nanna has a strong commercial mindset and hands on experience with aligning patent strategies to business plans, trade secrets, competitor surveillance and analysis, patent landscapes, IP management and support of business development based the many tools and insights available from a patent perspective.

Technical experience
During her master and Phd projects Nanna worked as an experimental scientist within the field of physical chemistry and surface science studying gas reactions on and in surfaces of metal oxides with metal thin films and nanoparticles.  In her experimental work Nanna gained significant experience with large-scale experimental facilities using technologies such as photoelectron spectroscopy, x-ray and electron diffraction, Ultra High vacuum, data fitting and analysis.
